Our clients range from schoolchildren to household names,
yet despite this variety everyone is treated with equal importance
and respect. Our excellent training techniques and customer
friendly approach has won us a number of major clients. Some
you may know include:
Manchester United
Ouch is proud to be associated with arguably the most famous
football team in the country. For over 3 years we have been
providing a number of First Aid and Health and Safety courses
to Manchester United staff, from the catering department through
to the coaches at the Carrington Training ground.
In conjunction with Manchester United and the local business
community we also provide annual free training courses as part
of Health and Safety week, when individuals from nearby organisations
are able to experience the delights of Ouch training in the
unique surroundings of the famous MUFC ground.
Big Brother
Ouch have even made it inside the Big Brother house, as first
aid consultants to Big Brother 2 (remember Brian, and the Helen
and Paul love-in?). Our unique expertise contributed to a major
task, involving all 10 housemates having to learn first aid
skills.
The Ouch style coupled with the flair of BB helped create
a moment of TV tension when the hapless contestants were put
to the test during a spectacular final challenge involving
a meteor.
Rathbone Training
For over four years we have been providing First Aid, Manual
Handling and Health and Safety training to Rathbone C.I Training
Centres all over the North West. Rathbone C.I have found our
teaching methods and experienced trainers have helped over
4000 of their clients to obtain nationally recognised qualifications
and a fair amount of self-esteem in the process. Our trainers
are chosen, not only for their knowledge of the subject matter
but for their ability to communicate with delegates from different
backgrounds and organisations. We also supported Rathbone C.I
in their successful bid to receive E2E status.
Bradfield College
For the past three years we have been providing First Aid
training to the prestigious Bradfield College in Berkshire.
A highlight of our training services to the college, is the
annual outdoor First Aid training day for up to 100 students.
This challenging day allows each and every student to learn
practical First aid procedures in the beautiful surroundings
of the college grounds.
Using map reading skills, student groups navigate their way
around a series of posts. At each post there is a different
First Aid technique to learn and practise. Prizes are awarded
for the most competent students and everyone receives a certificate
of attendance to remind them of an enjoyable, educational day,
courtesy of Ouch.
YHA
From Somerset to Yorkshire, we have been providing our unique
brand of practical, training for the Youth Hostel Association.
This collaboration happened somewhat by chance when the YHA
were let down by another training provider. We were able to
step in at the last minute and wowed the delegates so much
that we were to run further courses. The delegates enjoy our
fresh approach to a First Aid and are enthused by the energy
and charisma of our experienced trainers.
Big Issue
As part of our commitment to becoming involved in community
projects, Ouch Training Team devised a First Aid training scheme
for Big Issue Vendors in Manchester. We delivered a number
of half-day emergency aid courses, including all the training
equipment, for free. This is an on-going project with a new
phase of free training starting soon.
Ouch devised this scheme in order to provide some help to
vulnerable members of the community. We believe that First
Aid is an excellent life skill particularly when immersed in
the reality of the street. First Aid helps to reduce vendors’ vulnerability
and increase self-esteem. Above all, First Aid can save lives
and improve the chances of recovery from injury and vendors
need all the ammunition they can get, living in such an unprotected
environment.
Makro
Ouch Training Team has recently begun teaching a series of
Health and Safety courses for the retail giant Makro. Our no
nonsense practical training and reliable service is perfect
for their large organisation. In response to their training
needs, we created a training programme to supplement their
existing safety systems. As a result we have saved the organisation
considerable time, money and effort by providing relevant,
effective training that equips Makro delegates with the skills
and knowledge to maintain safety in the workplaces.
