Course Overview
Each year the correct use of fire extinguishers saves UK businesses
millions, preserves lives and prevents injury. Small fires
can spread rapidly and trained staff can help to prevent the
escalation of minor fires. Our experienced trainers use the
latest fire training equipment to demonstrate the safe use
of fire extinguishers. Delegates are given the opportunity
to use the extinguishers on real fire scenarios.
Half-day construction site fire awareness, including the use
of fire extinguishers, can also be provided and is CITB approved
for grant purposes only.

This course is suitable for those employees who may need to
use a fire extinguisher in an emergency.

Course Objectives
The delegate will be able to identify and use the correct
extinguisher in real fire situations and assist the fire safety
manager in their duties.
Assessment
A certificate of attendance will be issued to delegates attending
the full duration of the course.
Duration
1½ hours
This course can be run in-house for up to 15 delegates or
individuals can attend our open courses.
