Course overview
The Fire Precautions (Workplace) Regulations 1997 (amended
1999) places certain fire precaution responsibilities on employers.
One of these responsibilities involves carrying out a risk
assessment that will help you to ascertain the chances of a
fire occurring and the potential dangers involved. This course
teaches delegates how to carry out and record a risk assessment
and how to use it to improve fire safety in the workplace.

This course is suitable for those responsible for carrying
out initial fire risk assessments or reviewing risk assessments
currently in place.

Course Objectives
By the end of the course the delegate will be able to carry
out an initial fire risk assessment or review a current one

Assessment
Delegates will receive a certificate of attendance
Duration
6-8 hours (normally 1 day)
This course can be run in-house for up to 12 delegates or
individuals can attend our open courses.
