Course overview
This short, yet practical course is designed to equip delegates
with essential life saving skills. It provides a brief introduction
to First Aid, and can be adapted as required, for example,
covering the treatment of fractures for skateboarders.
Who is it for?
This course is suitable for delegates who have no previous
knowledge of First Aid but who would benefit from basic training
such as babysitters, carers and young people.

- Casualty Assessment
- Unconsciousness
- CPR
- Wounds and Bleeding
- Client specific areas such as choking, epilepsy and diabetes
can be included
Course Objectives
The delegate will have the opportunity to participate in practical
exercises illustrating how to give emergency First Aid to a
casualty until medical assistance arrives.
Assessment
There is no formal assessment but each delegate will receive
a certificate of attendance.
Duration
2-3 hours (normally ½ day)
This course can be run in-house for up to 15 delegates
