Course Overview
This practical course is designed to equip delegates with essential life saving skills.
The course focuses specifically on the treatment of children and infants. Delegates will participate in fun practical sessions giving them the confidence to act appropriately in real life emergency situations. Training is delivered by qualified and experienced trainers using a wide range of interactive training aids and scenarios.
Who is it for?
This course is suitable for parents or carers who have no previous knowledge of First Aid but would benefit from an understanding of life saving skills including resuscitation.

- Treatment of an unconscious casualty

- Wounds and Bleeding
- Choking
Course Objectives
By the end of the course delegates will have an understanding of the correct way to respond to a first aid emergency involving children and infants.
Assessment and Certification
Delegates are assessed continually throughout the course. Successful delegates will receive an Ouch certificate of attendance which is valid for 3 years.
Duration
3.5 hours (normally over 0.5 day). This course can be run in-house for up to 12 delegates.
