Course Overview
This practical first aid course has been designed to fulfil the first aid requirements of the ‘ISU Licence to Practice Training’ course. The training will enable ISU crews to offer practical first aid assistance at the scene of an incident and provide first aid cover for crews working in isolated areas away from the emergency services. Practical and realistic scenarios are delivered by experienced and qualified instructors which will enable delegates to learn and practice their new skills in a structured and controlled environment.

Course Objectives
By the end of the course ISU operatives will be able to recognise and appropriately deal with ill or injured casualties until the arrival of more qualified medical professionals.
Assessment
Delegates are assessed continually throughout the course. Successful delegates will receive an Ouch certificate of attendance that is valid for 3 years.
Duration
2 days (12 hrs). This course can be run in-house for up to 12 delegates per trainer.
