CIEH Level 2 Award in Conflict Resolution and Personal Safety
Work-related violence is increasing and yet employers have a duty of care to provide a safe place of work. This is not easy in environments where the potential for conflict and aggression is high. Zero tolerance initiatives and commitment to prosecution have brought improvements in organisations like the NHS and the London Underground.

All employees who may be subjected to verbal or physical abuse in the workplace.

Course Objectives
Successful completion of the training programme and assessment will enable candidates to understand the:
- terminology used in conflict resolution
- laws that apply to businesses and their employees
- concepts of a safe working environment and how the risk of conflict can be assessed.
- use of appropriate methods to de-escalate a confrontational situation
- importance of personal safety
Assessment
There is a multiple-choice examination and successful candidates will receive a nationally recognised CIEH certificate. Ouch attendance certificates will be issued to delegates not taking the exam or for those who are unsuccessful in the exam. This course is accredited by the QCF.
Course Duration
Minimum of 6 hours - this course can be run in-house for up to 12 delegates.
