CIEH Level 2 Award in Risk Assessment (Principles and Practice)
The CIEH Level 2 Award in Principles of Risk Assessment is a new CIEH qualification designed to help improve the workplace culture for occupational health and safety.
Its main purpose is to enable learners to understand the basic principles of risk assessment.
Who is it for?
This qualification will give all employees the ability to contribute to the risk assessment process and act always to protect their own health and safety and that of others.
Topics covered:
- Legislation
- Main causes of accidents and ill health, and their implications for people in the workplace
- Legal requirements for risk assessment
- Principles of risk assessment including:
- hazards, risks and control measures
- the five steps of risk assessment
- the hierarchy of control
- risk assessment review and record keeping
Course Objectives
By the end of the course delegates will be able contribute to the risk assessment process and act always to protect their own health and safety and that of others.
Assessment
There is a 30 question multiple-choice examination and successful candidates will receive a nationally recognised CIEH certificate. Ouch attendance certificates will be issued to delegates not taking the exam or for those who are unsuccessful in the exam. This course is accredited by Ofqual, ref: 500/3518/6
Duration
1 day. This course may be run in-house for up to 12 delegates.
