CIEH Level 4 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace
Key personnel in organisations need the skills and knowledge to manage health and safety ; simply being aware of and understanding the issues is not enough. This qualification is designed for those working in any business, regardless of their product or service range. It is essential for all those who have a role that includes responsibility for the management of health and safety issues, including managers, supervisors and senior safety personnel.
Who is it for?
This qualification is designed for those working in any business and is essential for managers, supervisors and senior safety personnel. It is recommended that delegates have some prior knowledge of health and safety in the workplace. (i.e. CIEH Level 3 Award in Health and Safety or equivalent)

Course Objectives
On completing this course, candidates will be able to:
- Manage health and safety in most businesses
- Develop auditing and monitoring programmes
- Design safe practices and procedures
- Liaise with enforcement officers
- Identify specific legal requirements
- Train staff and establish risk assessment projects (with additional training where necessary)
- Deliver level 1 and level 2 health and safety qualifications (with appropriate training skills)
Assessment
Delegates must complete two assignments and sit a written examination set by the CIEH. Ouch attendance certificates will be issued to delegates not taking the exam or for those who are unsuccessful in the exam. This course is accredited by Ofqual, ref: 500/3779/1
Course Duration
Guided learning is a minimum of 36 hours with revision time and an exam (normally 5 days in total)
